PLATFORM DESCRIPTION

Agnóstica is developed under a model, view and controller that allows integration into a single platform a thousands of network elements independent of the layer or manufacturer. One of the main characteristics of the platform is the ability to operate independently and eliminating the need of multiple Network Management Systems (NMS), simplifying the tools and reducing cost.

The geolocation of the different network elements allows:
• Simplification of the resolution of problems
• Simplified visual of the topology
• Simplification of the relationship between DWDM links and the IP data layer.

 The system was created to simplify the detection of problems based mainly on the physical, logical parameters of the DWDM and/or IP network and is extensible to any technology used by Telecommunications service providers.

The main view is supported in ultra-high definition (4K), allowing higher resolution, which equates to more information displayed to the operator in the same view. This capability also allows you to quickly get to know and become familiar with the real topology of your multi-vendor and multi-layer network.

The main view allows filtering to understand each part of the network, independent of the number of links that coexist between two geolocated points. For this purpose, an algorithm is used that allows rendering equidistant logical lines responsible for representing the services or data transport links as DWDM (dense wavelength division multiplexing) and / or IP (Internet Protocol) links as routers or switches which cohabit the same view.

For the compression of a particular point, the network elements are represented as a geolocated visible cluster in a single point. The main view, front end or user interface behaves like a dynamic web page based on a controller that receives the symptoms of the different network nodes which are extracted in real time and are automatically presented in the GUI. The Agnostica platform was created under the concept of model, view, controller and written using different programming languages such as html, Python and Javascript.

Agnostica was developed to simplify the troubleshooting and to make the network operator and engineer more familiar with the multi-manufacturer and multi-layer Telecommunications network in matters such as operation, maintenance, engineering, planning, etc. The metrics obtained by the controller are compared in real time with configurable limits or ranges. If the incoming data is out of range, animations are triggered on the map that allow you to quickly identify the link that presents the anomaly.

AGNOSTICA RECORDS

Agnostica Records corresponds to a module created to manage the historical data for each link connected to the platform. This allows data storage of metrics extracted from the network elements in real time. The graphic interface of Agnostica records allows you to select the network link and choose a specific date to perform an analysis on the hour or minute of interest.

This module organizes the extracted data by representing it graphically and also performs preliminary statistics visualizing values as minimums, maximum, average, variance, standard deviation and amount of data analyzed in a certain period of time and for each KPI. The information captured by Agnóstica Records can be viewed through a graphical interface with technical and analytical reports allowing rapid decision-making that is tailored to the specific needs of each network operator.

AGNOSTICA LIVE

One of the biggest challenges for Agnostica was to make it more user friendly and simplify the current and future state of the network. Agnostica Live displays a 4K dashboard of metrics of the last 24 hours, current metrics and future metrics on network links. This process is carried out through Machine Learning techniques that organize the information or data extracted to detect problems even before they affect your network performance.

Agnostica Live was developed under concepts such as descriptive analytics, diagnostic analytics, predictive analytics and prescriptive analytics. All the applied concepts in this platform deliver great value in the operation and maintenance processes of the networks. Among the various key performance indexes and metrics are: Availability per link, Mean Time Between Failures or MTBF per link, bottleneck, Optical Power, BER, Temperature, High CPU consumption, Jitter, Packet Loss, Last Event Time, Last Value Event, Timeouts, etc.

SECURITY

The Agnostica model, view and controller works on the same security standards used in banks and in the market. Its development included security protocols, online certificates and technologies such as https, http2 and wss (web socket secure) over TLS1.3; all this to avoid the intrusion of third parties in your production environment and at the same time protect the data. Furthermore, it is flexible to be installed or adapted under different IT / OT network security standards.
